"Which kind of listing do you need?"

A quick decision guide to the four ways to set up a listing — a simple priced product, several sizes (price tiers), a made-to-order item buyers customise, or a service with Enquire pricing — and which tutorial to follow for each.

Every listing on LocalFor.Me is an item, but items come in a few shapes. Pick the one that matches what you sell, then follow the linked tutorial — each one walks the whole setup with a real example.

The four patterns

You sell… Use Buyer sees Tutorial
One thing at one price A simple priced product £45.00 and an Add to basket button List your first product
The same thing in several sizes or packages Price tiers From £30.00, then a size picker Sell one product in several sizes
Something buyers personalise (size + options + a photo or message) A made-to-order product From £30.00 and a Configure step that builds the price A made-to-order product buyers customise
A service you quote for, or a bookable session Enquire pricing Enquire, and a way to message you List a service with Enquire pricing

Running a café, bar or food stall? Any of the above can also go on a scan-to-order menu — see Add a café item to your kiosk menu.

What every listing needs

Whichever pattern you pick, the basics are the same. From your dashboard, open Items → New item to create a draft, then fill in:

  • Name — we capitalise each word automatically.
  • Description — what it is and what's special about it.
  • Categories — pick 1–5 platform categories so shoppers can filter to you (search or browse — both add to the same list).
  • Photos — the first photo is your hero thumbnail everywhere.
  • Listing status — leave it on Draft while you work, switch to Active to go live.

The price is the part that changes between patterns. Start with the tutorial that fits, and you'll have a live listing in a few minutes.

Tip: you don't have to get it perfect before publishing. Save as a Draft, use Save & preview to see the shopper's view, then set it Active when you're happy.
