Every business on LocalFor.Me has been through a four-step check by our ops team. That's what the green Verified tick means on a profile — not just "the merchant typed in their details", but "we've personally looked at the paperwork".

Identity check
Sole traders upload a photo ID. Limited companies provide their Companies House number — we cross-check the live registry to confirm the company is active and the listed officer matches.

Address check
A recent utility bill, bank statement, or commercial lease — anything that ties the business name to the address you've listed.

Live review
A human on our ops team eyeballs the documents and the public profile. We're looking for clear photos, sensible descriptions, and no obvious red flags.

Annual refresh
Verified status doesn't last forever. Every 12 months we ask for fresh proof — otherwise the tick falls off the profile until it's renewed.
