Managing your account

Everything to do with your account lives under /me/, with a sidebar linking the different sections.

Your profile

Go to /me/ to update your profile. You can change your:

• Display name
• Phone number

Your email address is your sign-in identity, so it's shown read-only here — changing it would break sign-in and email verification. If you need to change it, contact us.

Addresses

Under My addresses you can save delivery/contact addresses for faster checkout. Each address has a label (e.g. home or work), address lines, city, postcode and country — United Kingdom and Isle of Man are both supported. Add an address with the form, or remove one with its Delete button.

Saved cards

Under Payment methods you can save a card for quicker checkout. We never store your card number — only the card brand, last 4 digits and expiry, held securely with Stripe. You can:

• Set a card as your default.
• Delete a saved card.

Orders, favourites and businesses

The same /me/ area is home to My orders, My favourites, My recommendations, Saved for later, and — if you run a shop — My businesses.

Signing out

Use Sign out from the account menu to end your session. You can sign back in any time with the same email.

Deleting your data

If you want to leave, use Delete my account (/me/delete/). This scrubs your personal details — your name, phone and email are anonymised and your account is deactivated, then you're signed out.

For legal and accounting reasons we must keep order records for several years. Deleting your account removes your personal information from them so nothing can be traced back to you, but the underlying transaction rows are retained. Account deletion cannot be undone — you'd need to create a fresh account to use LocalFor.Me again.
