Kiosk — scan-to-order for your venue

Kiosk is a paid add-on for cafés, bars and restaurants. Print a QR, customers scan to your menu, order against their name, and orders appear on a live display your staff work from.

Kiosk turns your products into a scan-to-order menu. A customer scans a QR code at your venue, builds an order on their phone, adds their name, and it lands on a live orders display your staff work from. It's a paid add-on — find it at Manage → Kiosk.

Subscribe

Open Manage → Kiosk. If you're not subscribed you'll see the plan and a Subscribe to Kiosk button — that takes you to Stripe to set up the monthly subscription. Once it's active, the Kiosk settings unlock. (If we've granted you Kiosk for free, it's already active.)

Set up

Everything is under Manage → Kiosk → Kiosk settings:

  • Payments (applies to all your kiosks): tick how customers pay — Counter / service (pay in person, or service staff bring the bill) and/or Online (pay by card; needs card payments set up) — and Require approval before payment. When approval is on (the default), an order isn't charged until you accept it on the display: card payments are authorised (held) and only taken when you accept, and released if you decline.
  • Locations — each location is one scan-point (a counter, a zone, or a single table) and gets its own QR. Click Add location and give it a name.
  • Kiosk menu — tick which of your products customers can order. Use a section's checkbox to include a whole section at once. Only active products show on the live menu; each shows its photo. If a product has price tiers (e.g. Small / Large), the customer picks the variant they want on the menu — the same options they'd see on your storefront — and it's priced accordingly. Customisable products carry over too: they show a From £NN price and a Choose button that opens the same options (size, extras, etc.) the customer would see on your storefront, priced as they go. Their choices ride along to the live display so staff make it exactly as ordered.

Print the QR

On any location, tap QR to open a print-ready "Scan to order" sheet. Print it or Download SVG, and place it where customers will see it.

The live display

Tap Open live orders display (or Manage → Kiosk when subscribed). Orders flow across three lanes — New → Preparing → Ready — and each card is headlined by the customer's name so staff can call it. The board updates by itself.

  • New: Accept to start preparing (or Decline).
  • Preparing: Ready when it's up, or Done when handed over.
  • Ready: Mark collected when the customer takes it.

Leave the display open on a tablet or screen wherever your staff work — full-screen your browser for a clean board.

What the customer sees

After ordering, the customer's phone shows a live status for their order — Order received → Being prepared → Ready to collect — updating on its own as your staff advance it on the live display. It survives a refresh, so they can lock their phone and come back to it.

The customer display (a second screen)

Kiosk has two screens: the live display above is for staff (with the Accept / Ready / Done buttons), and there's a separate customer display that just shows order numbers — Preparing on one side, Ready to collect on the other — with no controls. Put it on a screen your customers can see so they know when to come up.

Open it from Open customer display at the top of the live orders page (it opens in a new tab); full-screen it on the customer-facing screen. It refreshes itself.

Card payment at the kiosk requires your shop to be onboarded for card payments. Until then, set your locations to At counter and take payment in person.
