Inviting a local business
Help a local shop, maker or tradesperson get listed — email them an invite, or generate a shareable link you can send or post anywhere.
Know a great local business that should be on LocalFor.Me? You can invite them two ways from the Invite a local business page.
Email them an invite
- Go to Invite a local business.
- Enter their email — optionally add a business name and a friendly note.
- Send. We email them a one-click link to a branded page where they can start their listing.
Or share a link
Prefer to hand over a link yourself — drop it in a message, a group chat, or print it as a QR code?
- On the same page, choose Generate a shareable link.
- Copy the link and share it however you like.
- Anyone who opens it can start their own listing — one link works for as many businesses as you like.
A shareable link doesn't need anyone's email, so it's perfect for posting somewhere public (a local Facebook group, a noticeboard, a market stall).
What happens next
Either way, a business that comes through your invite still goes through our usual review before it appears in the directory — and we can see that you helped bring them in. Thanks for helping your high street grow!
